Leblon's best viewpoint

An amazing place to visit in Rio de Janeiro is the Mirante do Leblon (Leblon Lookout). This is a tourist spot that offers a fantastic view of Leblon and Ipanema beaches, as well as Pedra do Arpoador and is right under the Morro Dois Irmãos. It’s a perfect place to take photos, enjoy the sunset and feel the sea breeze.

The Mirante is located at the end of Leblon beach, at the beginning of Avenida Niemeyer, on top of the rocks. It was built on a wooden deck, with a wooden fence as well, which gives a special charm to the place.

To get to the Mirante, you can take a bus, subway or taxi to Leblon beach and walk to the end of it, “Posto 12”. Then you continue walking up the hill, the lookout is approximately 350m from the end of the beach. Access is free and the lookout operates 24 hours a day, every day of the week.

The view is truly stunning, and it’s also great for having a cold coconut water at one of the stalls near the lookout.

I highly recommend that you visit Mirante do Leblon when you go to Rio de Janeiro. It’s one of my favorite places in Rio and I hope to come back soon!
